I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), and I am committed to providing a warm and compassionate approach to therapy.

I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counselling degree from Niagara University (Lewiston, NY) as well as a diploma in Addiction: Treatment and Prevention from Georgian College (Orillia, ON) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario (London, ON). My education and professional experiences have inspired my passion for promoting healing by fostering insight and self-acceptance.

I believe that the right therapy can bring people the peace they long for as pain and stress are transformed to awareness and understanding. I also recognize the significant impact that relationships, life circumstances, self-concept, lifestyle, biology, and past experiences all have on the process of change and healing and I strive to attend to these elements throughout the course of therapy.

Additionally, I appreciate the role of acceptance when change does not seem possible. By addressing troubling reactions to life and integrating goal-oriented work with acceptance work, I have witnessed how people can know themselves better and live in ways that are more fulfilling.

I work to establish a collaborative therapeutic relationship with all my clients, wholly focused on their individual goals and needs. My theoretical approach to counselling is integrative and at its core, strength focused and trauma informed. I use a combination of evidence-based treatments to shape my practice including Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment-Oriented Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I tailor interventions to each client.

In addition to addressing mental health struggles and related symptoms, some of my priorities as a therapist are to foster a therapeutic relationship based on equality and respect, to communicate acceptance and warmth, and to empower clients to uncover and acknowledge their ability to lead happier more balanced lives.
